Monday
Just a quick message.
All my last messages I had good news about competitions etc. But now me and my coaches had to decide to stop the s eason (for as far it has begun) because my ankle is still not 100%.
Because my ankle is painfull after every running session (sometimes for 3 or 4 days) and because my ankle still blocks in certain positions the sports physician has send me back to the orthopeadic surgeon.
This Doctor (Dr Heijboer, Erasmus hospital in Rotterdam) made an echo and found a synovial reaction (scar tissue) under my torn ligament (the ligament is completely cured) which causes the block and the pain. The only way to remove that tissue is to get an arthroscopy so they can 'clean' my ankle.
It's a really small surgery and they said the recovery will be quick. But it's still surgery so I'm a little nervous.
Hopefully I can start training painfree after my rehab..
I will keep you all informed...
